IDA Announces Dónal Travers


 
Dublin, 5th December 2025:   IDA Ireland has announced the appointment and commencement of Dónal Travers to the position of Executive Director, IDA Ireland.  

Dónal was previously the Global Divisional Manager, Technology and Consumer, Content & Business Services and a member of the Executive leadership team in IDA Ireland.  He has held a number of roles across IDA Ireland in a career that spans 28 years, including a period of time on the West Coast, USA.
 
CEO of IDA Ireland, Michael Lohan said ‘I am delighted to congratulate Dónal on his appointment to the role of Executive Director following a highly competitive recruitment process.  He brings a strong track record of FDI delivery and together with the existing leadership team, will ensure we build on the success that the organisation has delivered to date.  His appointment to this Executive Director post will reinforce IDA’s ability to deliver on our strategic goals aimed at strengthening investment, fostering innovation and cultivating enduring relationships with our clients and key stakeholders.’
