• Skillnets – Enterprise-led training networks

Skillnets is an enterprise-led support body whose mission is to enhance the skills of people in employment in Irish industry to support competitiveness and employability. The Training Networks Programme is an initiative of Skillnets Ltd and is funded from the National Training Fund through the Department of Trade, Enterprise and Employment. It enables grant aided training for the private sector through 114 industry and regional training networks.

•  Finuas – Growing Skills for International Financial Services

Finuas is a new programme dedicated to specialised training within the international financial services sector, which is jointly funded by the government and companies within the sector. Finuas is envisaged to run for up to 5 years with €2.5m allocated from the National Training Fund for 2009. It is managed by Skillnets Ltd on behalf of the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment, Finuas aims to support the sector in maintaining Ireland’s position as a top international financial services centre through investment in the specialist skills and expertise of its workforce.
